UAP Photo Of The Week
The UAP Photo of the Week is actually an illustration that comes to The WOW! Signal from Preston Dennett’s Facebook page and is entitled: THE ALIEN IN THE BEAM OF LIGHT, April 3, 1948, San Martino, Italy.
This case comes from Italian researcher, Solas BoncompAgni and was published in his book, “UFOs in Italy.” It was 6:35 am on April 3, 1948, as Taxi bus driver, Giuseppe Lanciano, the artist who drew this sketch, was waiting for the 7 o’clock train, whose arrival had been delayed. This was at toll booth #14 in Fara di Cigno in the city of San Martino, Italy. Suddenly a strange, glowing, orange circular object appeared, shaped like an upside bowl, or “an open umbrella without a handle,” moved overhead at about 60 kilometers per hour, and hovered about 10 meters above a hill about 500 meters away.
It hovered there for several minutes, glowing with light, long enough for the witnesses to estimate the diameter of the object at about 10-15 meters in diameter. It had a little “cup” shaped protrusion on top which looked transparent as it glowed with a silvery light. It looked to Giuseppe that it was about to land on the hill. Seeing how unusual it was, he immediately called it to the attention of the stationmaster, Mr. Bavota who was talking on the phone. After they both watched it for a little while, a beam of very bright, white light came out of the bottom center. It was close enough that they could feel heat coming from the object.
Then, in the beam of light was a humanoid form, but definitely not a normal human. It was about 1.5 meters tall, 4 ½ feet. Its posture was rigid, and its arms outstretched. It looked like it was wearing a metallic reflective suit with thick gloves and two circles where the eyes were. It reminded the witnesses of a ‘puppet.’ It floated slowly and evenly to the ground. Curious, Giuseppe ran up to it, at which point it floated back up into the craft, which oscillated back and forth and zoomed silently upwards at a dizzying speed.
